Ishaan received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017. In the summer before his senior year, Ishaan interned at the Max Orovitz Laboratories of Sports Medicine & Motion Analysis and Neuromuscular Research & Active Aging at the University of Miami, where he developed mechanical systems that integrated into pioneering medical equipment that allowed for better research and EMG data acquisition.
After graduation, Ishaan worked as a co-managing technician in the consumer electronics and MEMS/NEMS repair industry for two years. He also collaborates as a Technical & Engineering Consultant within the Design-Build and Maritime Shipping industries for the past three years.
Ishaan joined the Bhargava group in May 2019 and his interest lies in the Mechanical Development of ongoing projects in the laboratory. His current work focuses on the development of FTIR and QCL instrumentation systems for infrared spectroscopic imaging.
